Contributor terms.
Short and in plain English. By ticking the box when you upload, you agree to these terms.
1. Who we are
"We" means Sienna Crests. "You" means the person uploading slides. "Slides" means the PowerPoint files you upload, including any speaker notes.
2. You keep ownership
You keep all ownership of your slides. You give us a non-exclusive licence, so you remain free to use, share, publish or license your slides anywhere else.
3. The licence you give us
You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to copy, store, process, review and clean your slides, and to sublicense them to data buyers (such as AI companies) for training, evaluating and improving AI models and related products. Before a sale, we may show samples to prospective buyers for evaluation only, under confidentiality. A licence granted to a buyer continues for the period agreed with that buyer, even if you later withdraw.
4. Your promises to us
- You created the slides, or otherwise have the right to license them, and doing so doesn't breach your employment contract or your university's policies.
- The slides don't infringe anyone else's copyright or other rights. Where they contain third-party material (for example publisher slides or other people's images), you understand we will remove it or reject those slides.
- You have removed, or allow us to remove, any information that identifies students or other individuals.
- The slides contain nothing unlawful, confidential or defamatory.
If any of these promises turns out to be untrue, you are responsible for the consequences, and we may remove your slides and withhold payment for the affected slides.
5. Review and rejection
We and our buyers decide which slides meet data standards. Slides that don't (for example duplicates, title-only slides, third-party material or personal information) are rejected and not counted for payment. We may also decline any upload.
6. Payment
- We pay only for accepted slides that a buyer actually licenses and pays for. We do not guarantee any sale or payment.
- Current indicative rates are $1.00 per accepted slide, or $1.50 for slides with speaker notes. Rates may change with buyer quotes. We'll tell you before your slides are licensed at a different rate.
- When a buyer approves your slides, we'll ask for your payment details. We pay you within 14 days of receiving the buyer's funds.
- You are responsible for any taxes on your earnings. We may ask for tax forms required by law before paying.
7. Withdrawal
You can withdraw any slides that haven't been licensed yet by emailing us. We'll delete them within 30 days. Licences already granted to buyers continue under their terms, and you'll still be paid for them.
8. Transparency
We'll keep you informed at each step: receipt, quote range, buyer approval and payment.
9. Limits of our responsibility
We provide this service as is. To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility to you is limited to the amounts we owe you for licensed slides. We're not responsible for how a buyer uses slides beyond the terms of its licence, but we will require every buyer to sign a written licence.
10. Changes and general terms
We may update these terms. We'll email you about material changes before they apply to slides that haven't been licensed yet. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA. If any part is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
